It includes associations, video producers’ manufacturers, software producers, audio producers, museums that publish, and over 10,000 distributors and wholesalers for these materials. One valuable feature of this publication is the cross‐references from imprints and former names to the current company name. Professionals depend on it to provide current contact information, including e‐mail and Website addresses.

The information in this publication comes from R. R. Bowker’s Publisher Authority Database. Publishers update their own information anytime. Libraries may choose to subscribe to this database instead of the print version. Four indexes are provided: name index, wholesaler and distributor index, geographic index, and ISBN index. The name index and the wholesaler and distributor index contain the full contact information and imprints, distributors, ISBN prefixes, and San numbers. Discount policies and return policies are included if provided by the publisher. The geographic index and the ISBN prefix index do not include this information.
